Hi everyone, I'm from the UK, and I am currently deciding on a list of parts to build my own PC with for the purpose of gaming, mainly based on reviews I have read predominantly from here, as well as a few other sites, for a decent PC at a reasonable price. Here are the specs:
i5 3570k 3.4ghz quad core processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LG1155 Motherboard
Kingston 8gb (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
Corsair 500R White ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
LG GH24NS59 DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows Professional SP1 (OEM) (64-Bit)
ViewSonic LED 22" Monitor 1920x1080 resolution
I was wondering, how effective will this be at running current and next gen games? I am not expecting to run games such as BF4 on Ultra settings but medium/high(ish) settings would be nice.
Are there any areas you think I could improve on? (I chose a larger power supply than I needed because it is pretty good quality and I may eventually overclock my PC slightly/moderately, although it will probably be after a year or two when more games come out that put a larger drain on the CPU and GPU).
Can the motherboard hold another pair of 4gb ram chips and another 2gb gpu if I eventually wanted to upgrade it?
Any input would be deeply appreciated.
