nVidia driver installation issues!

I attempted to uninstall my nVidia drivers so I can update them but upon doing so my computer screen changed as if it were in safe mode. I tried to install the new driver but my graphics card isn't detected and GeForce experience says everything is up to date. I'm starting to think I really screwed up my PC

  5. Yeah I downloaded 331.82 and I was uninstalling 314.22 I believe. My Display Adapter tab isn't showing up on Device Manager so I have no idea where to go from here.
  6. you want to uninstall 314.22 before installing 331.82 ? right ?

  8. That's correct, that's what I tried doing but after uninstalling 314.22 everything is looking like it's in safe mode and I don't know where to go from here.

    okay.
you don't need to uninstall previous drivers to install new one.
while installing new drivers, nvidia installer ask for [ Perform Clean Installation ].
make sure that this option is marked and start installing.
this option automatically removes previous drivers and installs new one :)
  10. That's a great tip for the future but right now it won't detect anything when I attempt to install it says there isn't any compatible graphics hardware. My GTX 680 is hooked up correctly so I don't know the reason why it isn't being detected

  12. ohhhhh.
remove your GPU, clean it and try installing again.
hope so, this will help. :|
  13. I don't think I need to uninstall it though because everything was working fine prior to the uninstallation of the driver software.
  14. make sure that your drivers are uninstalled successfully from control panel or else try removing them from registery editor.
