hi all, i was looking for a rather abstract opinion on wether or not to remove a gpu fan. i have a nzxt phantom 820 case, it has a fan on the side with a fan on the drive cage to angle at the gpu/cpu. the cage fan is rather loud and i'm thinking of removing it, but wonder: how much would temps rise? i have one asus 7970 dc2 and plan to add a second, so should i? any tips tricks or suggestions welcome thanks!

You probably will have a bit of an increase but one that's not big enough to be worried. I have a really cheap case with no side fans and my CPU keeps under 80oC!

ok cool, although i wonder about the gpu, under load i run at around 60c, i wonder what difference it would make? oh and i live in oregon, it's currently 29f outside at night.

i'd think that's not too bad, as long as it stays under 80c
