Hi there.
I've installed Windows 8.1 on my Laptop(Asus K53) after installing VGA driver(Intel Graphics Driver) log in screen pops up and after typing my password I can't log in (it shows loading...) after a few seconds login screen shows up again.
I was wondering if you'd mind helping me to sovle this issue.
I should mention that I've updated the BIOS.
thanks in advanced.

Hi

Is there a Intel graphics driver for the motherboard chipset that supports Windows 8 ?
There are various utilities for detecting chipset if you can not find it from specifications or reviews
(It is unlikely that 8.1 makes any difference)

Does Windows update provide a graphics driver ?

Do you mean you previously had Windows 8 or 8.1 on this Laptop(Asus K53 or a different PC/Laptop ?

It seems K53 is not the full model number so I can not find details at Asus site

There is a warning that the old Intel graphics driver from Windows 7 should be uninstalled before upgrading to Windows 8

best of luck

Hi

Was this a 8.0 to 8.1 upgrade ?
or any other upgrade ( eg 7 to 8) ?
or a fresh install of 8.1 ?

was intel graphics driver from Intel or Asus and is it certified for 8.0 or 8.1 (state source & version number)

Have you tried safe mode startup to uninstall graphics driver

Did you flash bios before or after problem occured ?

no,it's fresh instalation.
well my laptop has 2 VGAs ,the first one is Standard VGA and the second one is NVIDIA,first of all I must install Standard VGA and after that I can install the second one.
as I serached in ASUS website it does not provide any driver for Win 8.1,also I should mention that I had installed win 8.1 in the past and it worked very well without any issues.
http://
I can uninstall graphic driver in safe mode ,and I did this too.
but my problem starts after installing VGA driver.
both of them , before and after I faced the same problem.
