Hello,

I have an old pc lying around. I'm thinking of installing a new unusedgraphic card to it but I am not sure if it would work.

The motherboard of the old PC is Biostar P4M890-M7 FE.

The graphic card is Leadtek nvidia Quadro K600.

I am afraid something bad will happen if its not compatible.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks

A motherboard would never damage the video card... If it's not compatible it simply won't run at all.

If you get a very powerful card it WILL work provided the PSU can supply enough power to the card. But it would be pointless because the motherboard uses the old LGA 775 processors which will limit the performance you can get out of a powerful card.

So are you saying that it won't damage the card if it's not compatible? Thanks
