Hello Everyone,

i really need your help in this one, i want to upgrade my computer or buy new one, i am a HUGE gamer and my computer is no more capable of playing new games

my computer specs :
MB Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P
RAM 2GB x 2 MUSHKIN RAM bus 1600
Graphics ATI Radion 4870 Vapor X GDDR5 1GB
CPU AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz 8.0 GB Cache
HD 1 TB WD Black
PS OCZ 600W

i got the new COD Ghosts and it need minimum 6 GB ram and Directx 11
New crysis needs Directx 11
Battlefield 4 is running on medium resolution with little lags

My graphics card doesn't support Directx 11

so my question is can i upgrade my PC to play all new games on Ultra resolution or i need to buy a new 1 ??

if upgrading please tell me what i need to change

if buying new 1 tell me what to buy ( i am actually preferring buying new computer but i always buy a high end and at the present time i can't afford it, but if that's the case that i have to buy a new 1 so i can save some money and buy it later )

i want a graphic card that support 3D also as i am running my computer on a 40' LED TV with 3D

Also i noticed that the GTX TITAN support Direct x 11.1 but it is soooo expensive, My point is i want to buy a computer that i will not need to upgrade and at the same time play all games on ULTRA setting for the next 4 or 5 years without needing to upgrade again to a new GPU as it doesn't support DX 11.1 or DX 12 if released

Things have changed, Intel are now top.
If you can afford it an i7 looks like the best choice for long term ownership, its ability to handle 8 threads may come in very handy in the next few years as games become increasingly threaded (BF4 can already use more than 4 core/threads).
Got to love that cooler: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-03G-P4-2881-KR/dp/B00GDIIIPW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1385244250&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx780+ti
Probably cooler, maybe quieter: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-03G-P4-2884-KR/dp/B00GMTGJIU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1385244250&sr=8-3&keywords=gtx780+ti
I know how badly you want this card, but try to hold off until it arrives in your country, warranty claims can be...

I would recommend a SSD (Solid State Drive), whether you build a new machine or just upgrade yours. And is capacity is your issue, go for a hybrid SSD.

Just something to think about

Don't buy ASUS, ASRock or MSI. They are fooling you by doing clever ticks with components to cut production costs. Please watch this video and make sure you understand what he is talking about. It's made by an engineer:

You should pick an Nvidia card for these types of games. Not only do they perform better, but they run PhysX on the GPU, unlike AMD that transfers PhysX work to the CPU. If you play several games with PhysX, you should go with a good GPU and save some on the CPU.

Anyways, this is what I would buy:

i5 4670K/ i7 4770K
GA-Z87X-OC
Nvidia GTX 760/770/780/780 Ti
8 Gb RipjawsX
And get a SSD and a better (and slightly more powerful) PSU

Ultra resolution... 3D... next 4 or 5 years...

A 780 Ti or Titan sounds about right. Maybe two. But two would require a PSU of 800w upwards.

CoD Ghosts doesn't actually require 6gb of ram. The minimum requirement has been lowered to 4gb. But just get a new 8gb kit of high speed ram since you want some future proofing.

There are no DX12 cards in existence.

^+1.
A little more realistically, I'd drop a 4Gb GTX770 into the current system and bring the RAM up to 8Gb then start researching for a whole new build.
Yes, I know 4Gb is not really needed for now, but in 4 years time? Don't forget, the HD4870/GTX260 were top of the pile just 5 years ago!
And dual GTX770s will be...nice. ;)

Thank you guys for your replys

i will upgrade my current PC with the GTX770 and the ram to 8GB as coozie7 suggested, it sounds will solve it for now, But does it support 3D??

in two or three months i will buy another PC with the below specs ( i liked the build that AwesomeFX has written, i made some modifications )

Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050W 80 Plus Gold PSU
CPU : Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz 8M LGA 1150 Processor
GPU : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 OC 3GB GDDR5 Windforce 3X OR Gigabyte GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB GDDR5
Motherboared : Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC Force LGA 1150 Motherboard OR Gigabyte G1.Sniper 5 LGA 1150 Motherboard
Ram : G.skill RipjawsX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 CL9 1.6v Dual Channel Memory Kit
HD : Western Digital (WD) Black WD4001FAEX 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s OR Adata XPG SX910 256GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5 inch Solid State Drive (SSD)

Can u tell me if it is a good build ? if needs any modifications please tell, also i put some OR up there, which 1 is better except for the GPU i know the titan is better but i don't know if i can afford it :)
Does all this GPUs support 3D?
what cooling should i use too ?

And again thank you again for your reply s i really appreciate it.

If you want to go for a single GTX780Ti for the new build I think you'd be better off getting that as the upgrade for the current system then transfer it into the new build later, if you get a GTX770 as an upgrade and don't go SLI for the new build (my plan) you're going to loose quite a bit of money.
As a simple 'stop gap' upgrade to the existing system I'll suggest the R9 270 or GTX760, they're both better matched to the current system and a whole lot cheaper than a GTX770.

i will buy the GTX780TI for my current system them transfer later, the only problem is that i can't find the GTX780TI in my country, i will try to buy it online and ship it here

1 last question, is the AMD better or NVIDIA for gaming, i already made up my mind on buying the GTX780TI , but just out of curiosity which is better, when i bought my current computer 4 years ago i was told the AMD is the best GPU for gaming

Thanx Guys for your help u really helped me alot all of you :)

I know how badly you want this card, but try to hold off until it arrives in your country, warranty claims can be a pain at the best of times and having to deal internationally is really not going to be pleasant.
