Hi All,

I am a new comer here, and come with a question that bothers me.

From what i understand, any CPU that supports 64-bit instruction set, should support 32-bit one too, yet the following made me confused:

http://processors.findthebest.com/compare/830-968/Intel-i5-3210M-vs-Intel-i3-3110M

Thank you for any inputs.

More about : 3110m work bit

Hi
Short :
Yes it can.

Long:
All CPU system have walked this OS calculations way .....
8 bit
16 bit
32 bit
64 bit

SO the modern CPU`s are able to run 32 bit OS and Programs and also 64 bit OS and Programs
If there is a 64 bit Instruction set support from the CPU it is 100% backward compatible wit 32 bit systems !
Of course i`m focusing over Windows Platforms here - but there are many different Platforms that have some exclusions from the state above :)
I hope this light a bit the question here :)

And about the link - it have WRONG DETAILS THERE - here you can check for correct ones :

http://cpuboss.com/cpu/Intel-Core-i3-3110M
Details
Architecture x86-64

here aslo :
http://ark.intel.com/products/65700/

BTW - it`s odd that on the Intel web they only shows the x64 bit support :)
But i`m pretty sure it does support x86
