Hi people, I want to build another PC, my budget is around 700-900 pounds.
I wanna play battlefield 4 on high/ultra settings and do some video editing at times.
I will be using windows 7 64bit and looking to buy atleast 8gb of ram. Also I will need at least 1tb of HDD space. I'm currently using an amd CPU but want to try Intel for a change. Speed is important as I do play and edit videos.

Any reccomendations or parts would be exellent .. Thanks.

Do you need to include an OS without budget? Do you want to overclock? How much of a priority is video editing? (This skews the balance between i5 and i7, and even though you said Intel, the FX8***)
Also, what resolution do you want to run at?

Something like this is a vague baseline -
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£167.99 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£109.07 @ CCL Computers)
Memory: Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£53.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5"...

You may want to upgrade to an i7 if video editing is a significant priority. You might want to allocate funds to an SSD if that appeals.
You also need to buy a CPU cooler. How much you need to spend on this is really dependant on how much you want to overclock. Something like a Hyper 212 EVO is a good baseline.

Thanks a lot Rammy I will work on buying the list you posted, and I don't think its worth the money on that CPU I think the i5 would be best? Thanks again.

I already bought windows 7 so that's not an issue. And I will probably buy a cpu cooler as well. My current has a stock.

Video editing is one of the places where something like an i7/8320/8350 will significantly outperform an i5 due to the extra threads at their disposal.
Swapping to an i7 4770K is an extra £60 (£228), which is a lot. The FX83** are £140 so offer very good value for money.

If you don't want to overclock, you can drop the processor to a non k-series and downgrade the motherboard too.

If you do want to overclock, then spending money on a good cooler is essential. Monoliths like the Noctua NH-D14 and Phanteks PH-TC14 are incredibly powerful and quiet, but they are huge and expensive. A Hyper 212 Evo or similar will serve you well for moderate overclocks.

The 280X I suggested as it is probably around the amount you would want to spend, and it performs very well. If you have a preference towards Nvidia, the GTX770 offers similar performance and is priced around £30 more expensively. Both are more than sufficient for general 1080P gaming, and should be capable of around 50fps average on BF4, 1080P with maximum settings and 4MSAA.
