B Bman1296 Honorable Nov 23, 2013 17 0 10,510 Nov 23, 2013 #1 I recently overclocked my i5 750 to 2.8 ghz from 2.66 (20x to 21x) and i cant get it back down. In the BIOS, it says that it is on 20x but on CPU Z it says that my clock is at 2.8 ghz. Please help, i am unsure of what do to do!!

Solution americanbrian Nov 23, 2013 is it unstable? that is a very mild OC. Also is that with turbo boost disabled? It could just be reading the turbo bin.

I have turbo boost enabled, and yes, it is stable. However, it is getting up to 72-74 degrees celcius and this is bad for the CPU from what ive heard. Upvote 0 Downvote
