Case getting hot when playing Skyrim/Battlefield 3

Hello!

I recently upgraded my rig with a Radeon HD7850 and AMD FX-6300. The games run like a dream but the fans get noisy and the case gets hot from the sides! Is this anything to be afraid of?!

have you checked the temperatures of your CPU and GPU ?
what is it ?

AMD CPUs and GPUs tend to run hot and loud, most likely there isn't anything to worry about; but if you want to check, download SpeedFan or HWMonitor and tell us what temps you are getting at idle and load.

CPU around 55C

I don't have a problem with that, my problem was with you saying that everyone's GPUs go over 60. Mine run at 50, other's run at 40. Environment and modifications play an important role in temperatures, and to put everyone in the same group is impossible. I'm fine if you want to make the statement "Everyone who has a stock 7850 goes over 60C while playing" because that has limitations to the statement. I'm not fine with you saying that "Everyone's [implied: no matter what the card or environment] GPU goes over 60 while playing".
