Hello there my fellow techies, i've been having issues now for the past week and i'm 100% stumped on what the cause of the issue is.
For a few days now whenever i try to run certain programs they do not launch. BUT, they do indeed still show up in my process manager. There have been no huge changes to the computer in the past month or so, the only thing i can really think of is installation of the new Blizzard Hearthstone beta.
Does anyone have any ideas on what i can try as a clean format isn't really an option

Thanks in advance,
Onsight

As above;

Step 1: Right-click on the shortcut of the program you want to start minimized and select Properties.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down menu under Run.

I have already tried running in minimized mode as well as running in compatibility mode's and running as administrator, no changes on the issues face in the OP :( on another note i have also tried removing programs installed since the problem started, still no changes there. looks like a re-format is the only option.

Could try using a restore point, when everything worked;

Open System Restore by clicking the Start button

. In the search box, type System Restore, and then, in the list of results, click System Restore.

Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Follow the steps in the wizard to choose a restore point and restore your computer.
