How do i know if a graphics card works for my computer

Hey guys,
How do you know if a graphics card works for my computer? My friend told me to buy the nvidia geforce gtx 660 because its really good. How do i know if it works for my computer? Thanks.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Motherboard

You board will support that card no problem. Just remember though that you need a 450w or bigger power supply to run it. If you have the cash then i would recommend the gtx 660ti

Agree I would get at least a GTX 660ti or even better a GTX 670. But make sure that your PSU can handle it. With out knowing what make/model you have it is hard to tell.

Remove the side panel and there will be a label on the power supply, need model number and watts, left hand side looking from the front.

The GTX 760 2GB is faster and cheaper than the GTX 660 Ti 2GB.

If your budget is $150 then GTX 650 Ti Boost and if your budget is $250 then GTX 760 2GB

And if your budget is $175 the GTX 660
