Hey guys,
I just built my first computer last weekend. A few days ago I was stress testing my cpu with prime95. I shortly found out that my ram was not "storing values" correctly, by using memtest after failing prime95's test. It's a 1 gb stick Gskill ripjaw 1866 mhz. After messing around in my bios by changing the frequency(I originally had it clocked at 1866, the normal rate) I found that lowering the frequency to 1666 it was able to pass the memory test successfully. I have a MSI 970AG46 motherboard with an amd fx 6300 cpu. I was wondering if my ram is bad, or if it's something else? Thanks guys!
