cpu temps makin gcomputer crash because of 1 bent pin on motherboard?

so my cpu was getting so hot it would crash the computer an not start back up for about 10 min.i removed the cpu and noticed 1 pin was going at a slight angle off what the other pins were. is it sfe for me to just jry and bend it back?

Hi there,

You could try and bend the pin back into place but I don't think a bent pin on the CPU would affect the CPU's temperatures

I would also recommend that you check the thermal paste on the CPU and see if you can get some new thermal paste to replace the old one, this should help keep the temperatures down :)

i bent it back and yeah temps are still crazy. every time i have removed the heatsink i have cleaned and applied new thermal paste. i may just go out and buy an aftermarket cooler because i dont like the clip in stock one
