how to install a ssd for boot?

hello there
i have a g75vx laptop and i bough a intel sdd 530 series 240gb, i recently update to windows 8.1 and i want to use this new ssd to boot drive but i dont know how and i want to do it myself, can anyone help me out? thanks

Certainly yes we can help you. If you already installed WIN 8.1 on SSD, then go to BIOS and make the SSD as first boot device, then save and exit the BIOS, upon restart you will have the SSD as your Boot Device, and you would boot into windows.

If you haven't installed the OS on SSD, then do you have the installation DVD ? We will carry on from there on.
