Hi, a few years ago I bought a new PC for games, it was good at that moment, I have a Phenom II X2 545 (unlocked to 4 cores) and a 9800gt from nvidia.

All games had some decent frames, one of the reasons was my resolution at that time 1280x1024. Once the years passed I bought a Samsung screen Full hd 1980x1080 and then some small problems appeared. I can say I played on this 9800gt a lot of new games including games from recent years.

I said its time for an upgrade, so I bought myself a Gigabyte 660gtx OC edition.

I'm aware that my cpu will bottleneck my gpu, but regarding my cpu`s performance, can someone please open my eyes on what is the extend of this bottleneck, is it like very big, or lets say acceptable ?

I am planning in buying an i5 3350p and a gigabyte mobo in the future.

My only main concern is how big is this bottleneck, because I don't really want to let the money I spent on my new card really fly out the window. Can you please give me some processor tips, like the best price/performance deal that fits my new graphics card? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance !
