Hi guys, long time member but its been awhile since i posted. I came up with a really weird issue

my setup

XFX FX-795A-TNFC Radeon HD 7950 Core Edition 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD4H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GXM

ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-256GM-C 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

So i caught my little guy tinkering around my pc didnt think anything much of it, he managed to the get the door off the case but didnt get into the pc itself. I put the door back on and several hours later i went to go play bf4. I noticed my computer acting very slow which it hasnt done since I purchased it. The CPU usage went up to about 100%. I reboot and the reboot was very slow took almost 5 minute on an SSD. So i shut it down completely opened up the side and it looks like one of the wires got caught inside the heatsink fan disabling the fan from spinning. So im guessing it was overheating, i let it cool down (it wasn't really hot to touch but it was warm) and went to go boot it back up about 30 minutes later and nothing at all. No boot.

I figured i blew the PSU so i went to best buy and payed crazy prices for a 750w, brought it back and plugged it in and nothing again except a flashing power light on the motherboard power switch. I took off the heatsink and took out the cpu, no visible signs of burn and no offs mells at all, Reapplied some arctic silver and put it back together. Plugged in only the motherboard and one single ram chip and still nothing at all. Also tried with the video card plugged in as well.

Is it possible I blew my mobo or CPU? or maybe both?

I could probally RMA but my problem is I work from home so I will be needing this pc on Monday. Is there anything else I should be testing or is it a trip to microcenter for me and missing out on football tomorrow?

thanks guys

Solution
Sounds like the CPU, but if the CPU fan wire got pinched, I have to wonder if the heat sink got pulled on and the socket got tweaked...that's a long shot though.

Prime suspect (after you replaced the PSU) = CPU.

Thanks guys. After endless trying it ended in failure. Went to microcenter and grabbed the i7 4770 and a MSI motherboard. Set up everything and worked fine. Going to RMA both pieces. I couldn't try the CPU in the new gigabyte because of the different socket but im almost certain the CPU is fried. If intel says different I will post on this thread.
