With a lot of help from this forum, i decided to get the r9 280x and replace my dear 6850.

I have a h67 motherboard (that i'll keep), runnin an i3 2100.

Is it a solid upgrade going for the i7 2600? For what i've seen, i could have some improvement with a 2500, but not a big difference.(i want to prevent bottleneck)

This will be for gaming.

THANKS!

the ht of the i7 may come in handy more for future games, and bf4 multiplayer on 64 player maps see's a benefit from HT. so do a few other games. not a lot though.

you think the 2600 would last at least 1 year and a half or 2?
