active partition recovery,shows data but dosen't recover

I have a problem,
I deleted some very IMP,DATA
Means I deleted 2 partitions of the External HDD.

Now I want to recover them,

active partition recovery is showing all my data and So I decided to recover it,
It said that it overlapped,so I deleted the partition made earlier by it.

Then When I recovered I got just an Empty Drive,
Another drive only half data was there.

Also It took 4 hrs for getting the DATA visible.
Also,it's showing 8 hrs for Get databack NTFS.
so I cancelled it.

Please help me.

Oh lordy.

You have to understand how partition recovery works.
In order to recover a partition it reconstructs the data.
How ever it must be written to another drive.
If you attempt to recover the drive you are working on it overwrites the data it is trying to recover.

You must ensure you send it to another drive of equal space.
Then send the image created back to the drive in question.

That is what overlap means. It could not read the existing data due to writing back to the same drive oops.

but,One partition which was retrived correctly,I wanted to delete that and merge the two,but I deleted both,So I want the data only from the one which was deleted by mistake,
I don't have another drive,I won't buy one for this.

I'm using file recovery to take back most files,LEt's see how much it can give back.

I had the same problem. I created an image on a different drive and recovered on a different drive, and it didn't work. It said the files were excellent, but I got an error every time. I tried every way possible using the instructions, but the program is just crap. The fact that it shows the files you want in excellent condition lures you into paying and then it doesn't work. Crap, crap, crap.
