Is it true that the 8350 is an OC version of the 8320? So getting an 8320 and a CPU cooler, then overclocking the CPU to 4 ghz is gonna be the same as getting the 8350, but cheaper?

Yes it'll be much cheaper to get the 8320 which you can overclock to a stable 4.6 ghz with a cooler where as the 8350 would be the same price but slower as they are both the same chip. Your paying just for the name so get a 8320 and oc it.

Thanks. Which air cooler do you think would be good enough to OC the fx 8320 to 4.6 ghz without encountering any overheating issues?

EDIT: you can only overclock the 8320 to 4.0 GHZ as amazon says

I have had my 8320 @ 4.2Ghz with no issues and not even a voltage bump. it will go a lot higher but I have no need and only run it @ 4Ghz most of the time.
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler will do just fine. Just make sure you have good airflow in your case and have your fans set up correctly:)

At what temps does you 8320 stay at? Does it ever overheat? Which CPU cooler do you have?

the 4.0Ghz is it's built in boost, if you go into the BIOS (or use a program) you can turn that off and increase the multipliers/voltage on your CPU to get a true overclock, the rest I agree with jay2577 above. Read some guides on how to proceed or you may shorten the lifespan of your CPU.

Also there is a small difference between the 8350 and the 8320 besides factory overclock, the 8350 is often higher binned, aka the silicon of the chip is usually of a bit higher quality, but it honestly makes no difference in the end for most users, and the only people who care about it are people who want the highest clock rates out of their systems, purely for milestones or bragging rights. The 8320 will O.C within 200-300 Mhz of the 8350 O.C'd almost 100% of the time

So what do you think would be better? An 8320 at 4.2 ghz or an 8350 at base clock (4.0)?

The 8320 @ 4.2Ghz will be faster than the 8350 @ 4Ghz.
They are the same CPU just at different clock speeds. The only difference is that the 8350 has been tested @ 4Ghz. It doesn't matter though as the b8320 will do 4.5Ghz if cooled properly:)

Thanks a lot! One last question (sorry :(  ). Which air cooler do you think will be good enough to handle the fx 8320 @ 4.5 ghz without any overheating issues?

Personally I would suggest water cooling @ 4.5ghz but if you were going to have air cooling I would suggest only one but costly air cooler. The Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler.
Overclocking past 4.2ghz won't really be necessary but it's your choice. I settled with 4ghz with cool and quiet enabled for every day use.
Don't forget to turn of the turbo core feature in the bios.
if you have any further questions feel free to ask:)
