Well I've had this problem for a while, it didn't use to happen too often but lately it's been happening all the time.

My computer freezes with a buzzing sound coming from the speakers or headphones. It only happens when I'm gaming.

Now some more details:

I've upgraded some of my pc parts and the problem is still there, this parts are: CPU, GPU, HDD, case and power supply. To try stability I've run Prime95, Furmark and Memtest86 and I haven't had this problem happen when running them for hours. Also I'm always monitoring my temps and they're good (65 Celsius max for GPU and 50 max for CPU) .

The one other instance where I've had something similar happen were a couple of times when I touched or connected something to the front panel and there was static, and there was a static discharge which caused the same freeze. I thought it was a badly grounded case but as I mentioned I've used two different cases and the problem persists.

I find it weird that it only happens while I'm gaming, sometimes I can play for hours and nothing happens and other times I can't play for too long before it happens.

So could it be the motherboard? Or the memory (the only other part that I haven't replaced)? Or could it be just a grounding problem?

My specs are:

M5A97 R2.0 Asus Motherboard.
FX8350 AMD CPU
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1333
GTX 770 Zotac
650watts Rosewill Capstone
Antec Three Hundred Two

Yes, try that and see if one of the memory sticks are faulty

Hi!

It just stops like a picture, I've tried taking the memory out and re-inserting it but nothing. Should I try to run it only with one dim at a time (I have two) to see if one of the them is failing?
