Gigabyte HD 7870 2 gb OC version not giving fps as i aspected!

I recently purchased a gigabyte HD 7870.but it is not giving as good fps as i see on youtube videos.the resolution i play is 1440*900.I have tried this like game booster and defragging disks.I ran a cpubenchmark's software to benchmark it give a overall score of 1420.all tests are ok but 2d graphic mark is very less (403) less then cards like gt 630,hd 5770, gtx 550ti , hd 6950 and gtx 680.I think i found the problem but how to fix it?.3d graphic mark are ok/good.Thanks in advance for your kind help.I have the newest driver.
My Computer specs:
Processor:Intel core2 quad q9550 2.83 (i havn't overclocked it)
Ram: 4gb ddr3
board: asus p5p41c
graphic card: gigabyte hd 7870 2gb oc version 1100 MHz core clock

The problem with youtube videos is they never tell you exactly what they're running. They may say they're playing a game on high, but they forget to tell you they've turned down anti-aliasing and so on. Can you give some examples of what games you're playing, at what settings and the fps you're getting?

all the new games.But even dota 2 is not running in 120 fps at max setting which my freind runs and gets 120 fps on gtx 660 and i am getting 60-80 fps

temperature of card is 38 average and 50 on load
