Monitor doesn't detect hdmi

Hallo
I just bougth a computer and it workt perflekti i could play all the games i whant. Then one day when i ben on a lan the monitor doesn't detect the hdmi cabel. What could i do?

You may need to tell windows there's a monitor attached;

1. Right-click any empty area of your desktop, and then click Screen resolution.

2. Click the Multiple displays drop-down list, and then select Extend these displays, or Duplicate these displays. Note If you cannot see the additional monitor(s) listed, click Detect. If does not work, try restarting your computer and do step 1 to 2 again.

Ensure cable is securely connected, try unplugging it and reconnecting it when the PC is turned on, also ensure the monitor input is set to HDMI not VGA or DVI some monitors have a button to press to switch between.
