Hello,

I have had an Asus notebook for over a month now. It is model number Q501LA purchased from Best Buy.

I have never noticed until recently (I never paid attention I suppose) that my battery will be charged at around 93% and my battery indicator LED turns green. Now I may be incorrect but shouldn't it change color (from orange to green) once the level hits 100%? My phone behaves that way, 99% it's orange and 100% it turns green. My friend has a Toshiba laptop and hers turns red at 100%, same goes for my other friends HP. I have owned two other laptops (none Asus) and they have all behaved as mentioned above, I find it strange the the indicator says it's done when in fact it isn't. I have a tendency to overthink things and my OCD gets the best of me when it comes to high value electronics, I don't like defective things is all. I just want to be assured that perhaps this is normal, maybe Asus is known for setting their indicators lower? I am running Windows 8.1 if that makes any difference. My google search did not come up successful so I'm hoping someone here reads this and can offer their much appreciated input. Lastly, I can provide any more details if desired.

Thanks,
David
