So this is my first time building a PC and I am having issues with powering the graphics card. Basically I'm lost and I don't know which cables go where. If someone could just give me a little help (pictures would probably help), then I should be done. Thanks!!

BTW I'm getting the message "please power down and connect the PCIe power cable(s) for this graphics card"

I also have a red LED lit up on my motherboard labeled 'VGA led'.

My build consists of
phantek enthoo primo case
4770k intel
asus maximus vi hero
EVGA gtx 770 4gb classified
evga 750w modular power supply
corsair h110
wd 1tb caviar black
samsung ssd 840 pro

once again thank you

You should have a set of cables that are marked VGA or PCIE that came with the power supply. Such as the red ones that come with this power supply.

Yours may be a different color.
Your card needs a 6pin and an 8 pin power connected to it.
Some connectors are combo which can be used as 6 or 8.

update. I have connected two VGA cables to my PSU and GPU. They are the red cables that came with the Power supply labelled VGA. at the end of the cables the split into 6 pin and 8 pin. MY graphics card requires two 8 pin connectors so I have used two separate cable to power it.
It booted fine but I am left two 6 pin connectors just dangling off my GPU. Is this correct? Everything boots fine but It just seems a little weird

I guess that your psu has a 6 pin and 8 pin on the same cable. Unusual, yes most have a 6+2 connection only. It will look weird but does the job. Maybe try to do some cable management to tidy it up.

update to the update

I have botted everything fine but I am having issues installing the drivers from CD. I am getting the message
"NVIDEO installer cannot continue
This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"

What's wrong? Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
