The 4670K is not on anandtech yet so I've used the 3570K which is 10-15% slower http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/697?vs=701

If you'd want to go with AMD again I'd strongly recommend getting their 8350 4.0ghz eight core, which if you have a µATX case (which I'm not to sure on?) I'd say using an ASRock 960GM µATX motherboard, which is a very decent board for its price, and 8GB DDR3-1600 Crucial Ballistix Tactical memory which makes it:

£ 147,90 AMD FX 8350
www.alternate.co.uk/AMD/AMD+8350/html/product/1038227/?
£ 59,90 Crucial Ballistix
http://www.alternate.co.uk/Crucial/Crucial+Ballistix_Tactical_8GB_%284GB_x_2%29_DDR3_1600MHz_PC3-12800/html/product/965774/?
£ 42,99 ASRock 960GM
http://www.alternate.co.uk/ASRock/ASRock+960GM-U3S3_FX/html/product/999984/?

= £250,79

With these replacing your current parts you'll be future proof.

Thank you for your swift response, will the ASRock 960GM fit in a BitFenix Prodigy?
Also i'm not really fussed with either AMD or intel. Which ever you guys think suits me best.

Yeah I checked and it's a mini-ATX case. The board I recommended is micro-ATX or µATX, which I read lots of people recommend over a mini-ATX board, and it will fit in the BitFenix Prodigy.

I also read in the comments of the dutch version of the website I linked above that the motherboard works very well with an AMD 8350, so that's confirmation that you'll be set. With that processor and your video card you'll be able to max out all of the latest games. :)

By the way, if you plan on doing extensive video editing you'd benefit from getting 16gb of memory instead of 8gb, but if not 8gb will definitely be enough.

Have fun building your new pc!

The boards that support his current cpu do not support ddr3, so he'll definitely need new memory.

If you're willing to spend the extra money I also recommend getting an intel cpu!

Like Derpa said, i'm going to need memory also.
At the moment i don't have the case, and could be persuaded to go for something else if it looks as good.
Sleek and simple pref with a window.
Thankyou for the help guys i realise i am asking a lot!

Note that with that motherboard (H-series) you won't be able to do any overclocking on your cpu.
If you'd want to overclock you'd need a Z- series board.

In case of the 4670k a LGA1150/Z87 chipset and for the 3570k a LGA1155/Z77.
The 3570k overclocks a lot better than the 4670k, but the latter is faster at clock speeds.
The Z-series boards are more expensive though, ecpecially the 1150 chipset.

If you don't want to do any overclocking I also recommend getting the 4670k with the board ganon11000 mentioned.

Also the memory I mentioned is faster and cheaper. So still some considerations to make.

Merry Christmas to you!
