Hello guys. well tittle explains everything. he has a rig i built a year ago, this are the specs:

Intel Celeron G530
Asrock Z77 Pro4
Corsair CX430
Asus HD7850
Corsair Vengeance 4gb x 2
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
Samsung HDD 160gb
Case Sama S1
LG Blu-rayBurner

So he will throw 400$ at that build this year and 400$ in a couple of months, he only plays nothing else. what you guys suggest me? im thinking on getting :

i5-3570k
Corsair 750d

And dont know what else, the videocard i think its ok, he only has 1 monitor with 1360x768 ressolution.

Yup. the system with a 3570k & 7850 at stock speeds will use 306w under absolute peak load (read: it will never use that much power in real life).

Once again, though, an overclocked 3570k is way more than you need for a 7850.

If you're upgrading the CPU to a 3570k with an aftermarket cooler in the plan of eventually upgrading the video card to something huge (780+), then it wouldn't hurt to upgrade the PSU. 750w, however is overkill for a single GPU system (I use 750w for an overclocked 3570k and dual GTX 670's).

550w is more than enough for any single GPU rig.

yeah, get a better processor, an i5 3570K is a huge upgrade for him.

You do not have to get an expensive cooler for it, just something like the hyper 212+. that'll cover even a heavy overclock on the processor.

also, don't forget that you need a motherboard. I'll list a few I like.

realisticall, some Z77 mobo that is about $120 will be fine.

I don't suggest a 3570k unless you're also buying an aftermarket cooler *and* you plan to overclock it. Overclocking is the only reason to buy a K series chip. With a 7850, however, overclocking is unecessary.

The 7850 is overkill for that monitor :) I strongly suggest he buy a new monitor with that upgrade. the 7850 can run new, AAA games at medium settings on 1920x1080 with good framerates.

My humble suggestion.

You think that psu can handle the i5 3570k a little OC'ed with that video card? i was thinking about getting a sdd and another hard drive plus some cooler, and defenetly the corsair 750d. the psu wont have trouble with that?
