I'm planning to upgrade my processor and right now I have a quadcore 2.3Ghz. I found an i5-4570 (3.2Ghz) on a local store with i'ts price within my budget. Is the i5 processor a good upgrade since I use my computer for both gaming and 3d modeling/rendering?

Solution
Well first of you will have to have a motherboard that supports the CPU. Before telling you if it is good we need to know what motherboard you have. Older quads and newer quads like I5 4570 are not direct replacements.

Thanks for the fast response!
Ok so here's a vague canvass of what I found on the stores (with info on what parts I'm going to upgrade):
Processor: From Quadcore to Intel i5-4570 (3.2Ghz)
MoBo: From Intel dg41rq to ASUS H87M-E or Gigabyte H77M-D3H
RAM: From 4G ddr2 to 8G ddr3 (or more)

I already have a GTX650 for my VGA and a Corsair GS600 for my PSU.
