I'm going to build this system before thief is released.

System is primarily used for gaming and some random applications such as office (I do watch some video but not movies on this system). I typically play games such as Diablo 3, dishonoured, and eagerly anticipating Thief.

I can reuse:
2tb WD black internal hdd
24x Samsung SATA dvd burner
2 tb External HDD in thermaltake enclosure

I do not need a monitor or peripherals. (but will be using a multiple monitor setup *1 to 2 more* similar to my current ASUS VH242H)

- I would like the system to be very quiet (not opposed to corsair hydro series)
- I will probably not be OC'ing but I may dable once i'm comfortable with the PC (so i'd like to keep my options open if possible)
- I'd like to use Win 7, but will use win 8 OEM if it is advantageous.
- I'd also like to put in a bluray burner if possible (within budget but not necessary at all), and a higher end sound card (xonar series) to pair up with my Schiit Magni/Modi, HiFiMan HE400 headphone setup.
- I definitely want to use an SSD as the main drive
- I'm not opposed to using 2 video cards in SLI
- Case looks are not a concern although black would be nice.

Suggestions with pc part picker would be very welcome. I've been out of touch with current gen parts and compatibility.

Thank you very much to anyone who can help me out.

Mustang

PS. I'm willing to put in a few hundred more to the budget if necessary but do not want to go over 1500
