Hello,
I wanted to purchase the R9 290 for my upcoming build, and was wondering whether I should buy a stock GPU and fit a VGA cooler, or should I wait for a company like Asus to put out their DirectCUII? Considering the fact that the VGA cooler would void my warrant, and taking (predicted) price into account, what should be best?

It's a nice cooler but also massive and as well I think ASUS/Sapphire tend to make better products over all for the top end plus it tends to be a bit cheaper and are stock overclocked.

That said, I am hoping for a much better cooling solution. If they can get it to mid 70c area and a consistent 1GHz, I will probably scoop up a 290x. 4GB of VRAM just sounds tasty.
