When I overclock my radeon 5670 the screen sometimes flickers and then gets replaced by lines and wierd colours which means I have restart the computer. Worried that I am overclocking it too much I autotune it so the pc decides when to stop but thie problem still occurs. Before I installed this card my vga cable from the screen was connected to the mother board now this card has its own vga and I plug it in there. Should I plug the vga cable where I used to? Will this help? Please someone help me. I have cleaned the card multible times.

My has 2x amd athlon 3ghz
2.1 ram ( getting 2 more soon)
windows 7 home premium 32 bit.
amd radeon 5670 512 mb

Most likely the overclock is unstable.

If the card has the same issue at stock clocks then you have a faulty graphics card or may even be a power supply issue.

The thing is I can clock memory and gpu. I can over clock the gpu to almost full without any problems, its when I overclock the memory that it goes funny. Is it even worth overclocking the memory? Maybe if I get some beta drivers.. will that help?

A driver most likely will not help to stablize the memeory overclock, seems like it would be best to just overclcok to a stable level and leave it. If that means just overclocking the core than just overclock the core.
