My computer is currently unable to display anything on the screen when turned on.

The computer starts up, the lights/fans all go on and start working, but the screen still remains black.

Computer specs:
Intel I5 2500k
Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard
ATI HD 6950 2G graphics card
8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
Corsair 800W PSU GS800
Windows 7 64-bit

The screen I am currently using is a old dell screen that uses a VGA plug, I connected that to a VGA to DVI adapter and plugged it into the video card. I don't think the screen is a problem as I was able to use it with the computer when I first built it. I didn't have any problems with turning on the computer until only awhile ago.

you sure it's not the monitor? tried connecting it to another pc? i would try that first before anything else, as you said it's an old monitor, try connecting monitor to another pc, if the monitor doesn't work on another pc, try with another vga cable, if that still don't work the monitor is dead, if it does work, it was just a dead cable :)

It seems like the monitor is working as intended. I tested it on another PC and that worked for me.

I noticed a red light near MEM OK on the motherboard when I turned my computer on. Does this mean there is a problem with RAM? Does RAM have to do with booting up a computer?

If so, how should I fix this problem?
