I had formatted my laptop(ACer aspire 4750g) and is trying to install windows 7 professional, but there's a message that says "windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table....Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.".
I have one partition for my backup and the other partition is unallocated. How can I change the unallocated partition to GPT without changing or deleting the other partition?
Thanks in advance..

Hi
And what type of partition is the other one that holds you Backup ?
How many GB do you have there ?
Can you move you data out of this HDD - USB , USB HDD .....

Changing partition type having data is time consuming process and i suspect the second partition is also GPT formated so this bring the setup warning massage ....

I advise you to take out you data and compleatly erase you all HDD then the setup will not bring any anoing massages .....
After you`r done bring back all data in the second partition - you can create this ine under WIndows
