i know neither are the most ideal but im getting a tv to play some of my steam games on, i know it wont be as good as a monitor but im getting it as a second display, i already have a monitor i was wondering which would be better for game quality though

Samsungs 55'' UN55FH6003

or

Vizio 60'' E601i-A3

any help would be greatly appreciated, i was concerned at how much of a different the 240 clear motion would make when playing my games

It all depends on what kind of a GPU you have to drive them. If you have a high end gpu that can drive the displays to high framerates then maybe there will be a difference. Otherwise a 120hz one should be ok for you. The biggest issues seems to be input lag with the tv's. Here is a database that list some models for input lag. Anything under 20ms is considered to be good. The lower the better.

Input lag test database.

The E601 seems to have 31ms which is still rated as great.
The Samsun UN55FX60xx seems to have 59ms, so the visio should be great.

However take a look at the list maybe some specific model pops up, if not the vizio seems like a reasonable option.

will the clear motion make much of a difference on quality even though the vizio has less input lag?

Well that comes then up to your GPU performance, but probably not. Most monitors these days are 60Hz, with the high end gaming monitors going 120Hz +
So i don't think that will be an issue for you, nor will it provide that much benefit either.

For that it should make no difference. Generally you don't get much past 60 fps in things.
