Hi everyone, I have an ASUS P5K SE Motherboard. Currently i have 2 boards of memory (1GB each) installed on the motherboard. Recently i decided i need more RAM memory so i want to buy more. My question is can i fit 2 boards of 2gb each next to the 1gb ones so i can have a total of 6gb of memory? If not which would be the best set-up for me if i want 4 or 6gb or memory? And my second question is what else should i check before buying new memory so that i don't do any mistake? I read some info about my motherboard and i found out that you can only install DDR2 on it, can you confirm that?

If you are going to use your old memory you will need to identically match speed, voltage and timings with the new memory to insure it works together. Ideally you want to buy the same brand and same model.

You need a 64bit OS to use more than 4GB of RAM.

Yes, your motherboard uses old DDR2. It may very well be more expensive than newer, faster DDR3 because it's not made anymore.
