It's capable of running all today's games maxed at 60-70+ fps on 1080p. Though I would just get the normal Asus R9 280x. Those high clocked Matrix and Toxic have rumoured to experience artifacts because of its tremendous clocks
you should be able to play BF4 on Ultra with 2x MSAA just fine (1,2,4 is max so 2 is medium), i have Toxic which is the fastest R9 280x card and i can play BF4 on 4x MSAA easily, so you should be able to play on 2x MSAA easily

I know the toxic card is probably the best card out there but i believe the Matrix can reach that same level. The Matrix isn't a very well known card and i think you're confusing it with the regular Asus R9 280x they put out. Here is the one i'm talking about. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121805 https://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/MATRIXR9280XP3GD5/
