During a fresh installation of Windows 8 (or Windows Server 2012), is there any way to change the default User, Program Files, and Program Files (x86) directories?

I am trying to set up Windows 8 on a new box, and have the OS on a small SSD (C:\), while having the Program Files directories and User directories on two separate, larger HDDs (D:\ and E:\, respectively).

I am wondering if there is any way to do this during the Windows 8 installation, as to leave no residual files or registry keys laying around. I managed to do this on previous versions of windows (XP) via a slipstream utility but so far have not been able to find any solutions for Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.

I don't believe any such tool exists for Windows 8, other than the Windows ADK (Assessment and Deployment Kit) from Microsoft. I do not know if the ADK tools can modify the install.wim file to adjust those variables though. Give it a try if you have some time available. It may work, but I have only dug down so far, and have never specifically looked for a way to change those locations when I have used the ADK myself.
