Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card. I currently have a Nividia GeForce GT 610 but, like any other person I'm on a budget I don't want to spend anymore than $300. I'm wanting to play more "high end" games like Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed, etc...
System Specs:
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
RAM: 8GB
Processor: AMD FX 4130 Quad-Core 3.80 GHz
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi. The one thing you didn't mention was your PSU. What you have is important when upgrading GPUs as you may not have neough for a decent card. For the games you mentioned, a AMD 7770 would do, if you have enough power supply.

also be weary for a cpu bottleneck. far as i would go is a 7870/270x

That PSU should be fine for the 7770.

What does "bottleneck" mean? Like how far the CPU can be pushed?

every system has a bottleneck. bottleneck is what is limititing your system. if there was no bottleneck anywhere you would get infinite frames in a games. most of the time your gpu is the bottleneck but if your cpu is to weak it cant communicate with the the gpu fast enough so not all of your gpu gets utilized. so you want a fast enough cpu to keep up with the gpu. heres a bad bottleneck. I3 2120 with my 7970's crossfire. see what i mean?
