WIN8:::how should I format a WD Black 3001FAEX HHD AND a 250 GB SSD?

I just upgraded both my SSD and HHD drives...
HHD to 3TB and SSD to 250GB. I've been reading a lot about different ways to partition for best access results. Could someone with the knowledge, please share with me the best format and how many partitions/how much. Already installed WIN8 on the SSD!
GB for each? I need help to make this install with the most efficient strategy.

You have called the police after the murder took place, not before it. Anyways, you have already installed OS on SSD, that leaves only the HDD to be partitioned.

So make at least 3 partitions on HDD, with your desired values(size doesn't matter), and select GPT format when partitioning. You can do it under Disk Management or you can do it with a bootable media. But if you use bootable media, then unplug the SSD before doing anything to the HDD. That's all. Good luck.
