What Intel i5 - 3rd gen 1155 should i buy?

Hi!

I'm currently building a computer
ASUS P8Z77-M PRO (1155) + 16GB RAM

what i5 processor is best suit for this? i'm seeing lots i5-3xxx with different model numbers.
Budget wise and Performance.

The CPU will be use for Virtualization, VMwares / Virtual Machines.

I'm not really sure if i5-3570k here in my region.
what does k stands for?

it it isn't too much to ask, what is cache for?

Xeon? heard of it. but haven't tried to use it. so is it better than intel's i5 series

i'm not planning to overclock, do i need to?

The Xeon E3-1230v2 is basically an i7 3770 for almost the price of an i5. It has turbo and hyperthreading. Look it up. http://ark.intel.com/products/65732/

You cannot overclock the Xeon, and it does not integrated graphics, but it's a GREAT value for the price.

using XEON, will it kill some features on my motherboard?

Not that particular Xeon. For all intents and purposes it's an i7 3770 without an integrated GPU and will work just the same.
