Hey everyone,

I'd like to start by letting you know that I have searched google for days before actually asking for help and have failed to find a solution.

PC: HP Compaq Evo D510 Small Form Factor
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600) 32BIT - 768MB RAM
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
GPU: GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
HDD: IBM DTLA 37300 30GB

I'm trying to do a fresh install of windows xp on my computer which is currently in French, I downloaded a Windows SP3 torrent and burned it to a DvD and i put it in my computer and i restart windows and I put the dvd rom to boot first, I press any button to boot from dvd and then windows setup loads all the files and then it says "Setup is starting windows" and about 20 seconds after that I get a STOP 0x0000007B BSOD and the second hexadecimal number after the STOP code is 0xC0000034 which made me think that my hard drive controller was out-dated or what so I installed every single missing driver for my computer and did any updates and tried again and I am still getting this error, I tried installing via USB and I got the same error and finally I tried 2 other ISO torrents of Windows XP and I get the EXACT same BSOD after "Setup is starting windows"

Please let me know if you have any questions or possible solutions!
Thanks in advance.

I just tried with a GENUINE copy of Windows XP Home SP3 with the exact same BSOD. I rest my case :na:

I'd also like to add that I have a valid key, I just didn't have the DVD but now I do and i get the same BSOD.
