I have deassemble the whole laptop. put it back together.. I think the connector may be gone, sometimes when I lift the keyboard out and hold in the connector it looks like it is charging As soon as I push in the connector to fit into place the front light of the laptop which indicates charging starts blinking, meaning battery recognized but not charging.
Any suggestions. Both the power supply and battery are totally ok.. just yesterday battery was lasting over 5 hours.. laptop only works with power connected to it.
Reason for deassembling the laptop was HDMI plug had fallen out. So I opened the laptop and superglued it. it was not soldered so it should have worked but it does not after glueing it.
Main issue is battery as this laptop was solely bought for its long battery life. Now there is no life at all unless plugged in :(

i think I would not have asked for help if it was under warranty. It is just under 2 years old and only came with 1 yr manufacturer warranty.
Again explaining that all worked well yesterday apart from HDMI case had come lose and was on top of the HDMI wire. So I opened the laptop and glued the HDMI back. Had slight issue when putting together the laptop. Had to reopen again and reconnect main cable so the power button would work properly..
Now the battery does not charge. I have already re inserted so many times .. spent 4 hrs on this today..

I understand and sorry but there are people who buy new products and they are under warranty yet they try to solve or fix the problem themselves.
As your your laptop theres got to be something not connected for it to be doing this I would look where the charging port is and follow that.

I have tested and battery if fine, it is the connector from battery to motherboard I think which is the cause if the issue. If I twist and hold in, once it did start charging for couple of minutes, then back again blinking light to show that battery is not charging. I called couple of techs and one of them wanted to charge $450 as he believed he would need to replace the MB.
Any cheaper ideas... similar laptop will cost me around 500 anyway. Do not have the budget right now.
