I'm turning an extra computer I have into an HTPC. I want to be able to play two independent feeds (not mirrored) on two TV (audio & video). I was looking at getting an AMD Radio 5450, the $30 variety, but they only have vga and either dvi or hdmi. So I know if I want to go dual TV's with this route I do not know how to get sound from the VGA fed TV. Trying to understand what's the cheapest method to do what I want to do.

Options, as I see them:
HDMI splitter, if needing both audio and video simultaneously to the TVs (mirrored).
Something like http://www.lindy-usa.com/2-port-hdmi-13b-splitter-38026...
or
VGA and 3.5 to RCA as audio source for one TV and HDMI for the other TV.
In this case, you need at least one player that allows you selecting the audio output.

This splitter is nice as you can HDMI to your TWO TV's BUT your input can include up to FOUR unique sources (to both TVs). You could have a Cable box, a DVD, a PC, DVR etc etc etc hooked into your TVs via HDMI cables.

Take a look

Double click on the switcher image and you will see the inputs and outputs on front and back.. Good luck.
