Hi everyone,

I am looking into a custom build, which includes the Intel Xeon 1230 V3. I was wondering, Is there a way to lock the core to the 3.7 GHZ turboboost speed, so it runs at 3.7 all the time? I will be using this build for gaming and watching movies/TV shows (Yes I know, the Xeon meant for servers, but I don't need the integrated graphics of the i7, so it seemed like a great deal.)

Solution
There is no reason to do so. The CPU will ramp up when necessary, and will clock down when it doesn't need the power.

But if you really want to, disable SpeedStep.
