I have an asus coolermaster RC 335 with an m5a78-m lx motherboard, fx-4100 3.6ghz and i currently have the KFA2 GT 620. I am looking to upgrade to a MSI gtx 670 OC Edition (yeah i know there'll be some bottleneck but i might upgrade my cpu later). I have a 600w PSU which should be enough i think. Will it fit in my system though? Thanks It. That is a very good deal, but if it won't fit in your case...
That GTX760 also comes with the same reference cooler, exactly the same length, 242mm.

I have found a few images which seem to support my instinct, that the dimensions listed for the case are wrong.

Problem is they all have different...

If I were a gambling man, I'd bet it'd be ok.

Problem is, the card is 242mm long, and the maximum supported graphics card length is 230mm.
It may well be that this length supposes you have all of the HDD bays occupied, limiting your space, and that if you don't, or can move HDDs around, you can comfortably increase the length available.
That is all just guesswork though, and I wouldn't like to mislead you. To be safe it's probably better to work within the manufacturers specs.

The Asus 670 Mini bemused_fred linked is a solution, (as is the 760 Mini) though the standard Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 is only 218mm long anyway. If availability/cost is an issue for those, then there are a lot of GTX660 models that are very compact.

Well since the one you are getting has a reference type cooler you would be better off with one of cards with a after market cooler that is not quite as long. I have a SLI setup with two Gigabyte GTX 670 dual fan cards that are not quite as long and it would fit better in your case. This http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125438 is the cards I have and they work very good and not quite as long as the reference design cards.

thing is though i'm getting this card cheap at £161 WITH assassin's creed black flags and splinter cell blacklist that's why i want this card in particular. I only have 2 hard drives so I can move them right? :D

The issue is this -
Elite335_series_spec.jpg

That image would suggest that the distance from the back of the case to the HDD rack (which you can't move) is 230mm. Now to my eye, it looks bigger, but manufacturers can take slightly misleading pictures to make things look more spacious, and if that is the number they list, it's probably the one to go on. What you could do is open up your case and measure it roughly, to see if that is a reasonable number, or if the drawing is incorrect (for example, 230mm might be the distance to the 5.25" bays above)

Advising you that it will fit without having the data to back it up is pointless.

On a (slightly) unrelated note, as you have a thread open, the details of your PSU would be useful. A GT620 uses no power at all really, and while a good 600W PSU will handle a GTX670 with no issues, some will not.

£161 for a GTX670 is pretty good (the link you gave earlier was for £192), but right now the GTX760 has the same games bundled with it (Splinter Cell and Assasins Creed), GTX770s+ get Batman too.

Problem is they all have different implications, and seem to come from different versions of the case. The most recent seems to be this, which changes the layout a bit -
http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/case/mid-tower-elite-series/elite-335u.html It lists 315mm as max graphics card length, way more than sufficient.

Your best bet is to measure it yourself.

The guy who built my pc bought the case in april 2012 so it could actually be the newer version. I will open up the pc later and check. If it is not big enough, i will buy the something else. Thank you guys for your help!

UPDATE: It is the RC 335U which means it WILL fit. Thank you so much!!
