Hey guys, i have been upgrading my computer slowly and nicely. But i have 2 questions because I'm curious.

I have the Dell Dimension e521
I have upgraded to a 64bit windows 7 ultimate OS with the following main specs
Processor: AMD ADA6000IAA6CZ ATHLON X2 6000+ AM2 3.0GHZ 2MB 90NM 89W 2000MHZ TRAY
GPU: ATI Radeon X1300 PRO 256MB PCI Express Video Card
And Memory is 4gb ddr2

Now i found out in another forum that 64 bit computers dont put as much of a limit to your ram usage so my questions are 1:
I have a "PNY Verto GeForce 8500GT 512MB Video Card" on stand by because i bought while still having 32 bit and it started making a noise in the screen and freezing.. Since i upgraded would it work better now? Or is the gpu just not compatible?... Or is it broken ? Haha

And my 2nd question is:
In another forum it says that my dell dimension's max ram upgrade is 4gb but i think that is because its factory OS is 32bit. Since i have upgraded to 64bit. Can my dell dimension handle more than 4gb ddr2?

Thanks so much to anyone who can provide me with answers! :)

the ram limit dell has set is compleate bulderdash. i think the dimentio E521 and others alike can take 16Gb with no trouble. i have 4X2Gb 800mhz in my e521 right now. im sure it could take 4Gb sticks but i will never try it as i dont need to and i cant afford it lol.

a 32 bit OS can only utilize 3.25-3.5Gb of ram. im not sure if this includes ram from a graphics card but it may well be the case.

just wack the card in a see what happens.

this is the ram im using at an amazing price and fast delivery

no problems at all apart from i cant overclock my prossesor any more. i think that may be to the new ram speed and a limit on that but not sure.

Ok update read this its quite interesting
