Right so I have Windows 8.1 installed now, thanks to the free upgrade via Windows Store, and I have been careless and got a few nasty viruses. From what I have read, I cannot download the iso with Windows 8 or 8.1 from Microsoft since this is not a retail copy, but an OEM one since Windows 8 came preinstalled on my laptop. The only option I have read to have is to use the Update and recovery options in the PC settings, and choose to:

Either refresh my PC while keeping my files intact (which I do not want since I want to wipe everything to get rid of viruses)
Remove everything and reinstall Windows (which I want), but when I click that, I have to further choose between these 2 options : "Just remove my files" or "Fully clean the drive".

Which option do I pick, because it warns me that if I pick the latter option, it will wipe everything, including system recovery, drivers, etc. So which option do I choose? Note that I want to get rid of viruses, so if the second option is a clean install, then I guess I need to pick that one?

Let me know and ty for the help.

Fully clean the drive.
However, the drive will still not fully low-level format by windows alone. It may kill your viruses, but If you want your drive as good as new - you have to either use a third-party (low-level format) utility OR use the DOS command: FDISK.

K when do I use that DOS command? Before or After reinstalling windows? Because once I click "fully clean the drive", it will proceed to the installation of windows, first partition the drive, then installing the OS.

I thought that when you partition the drive, you click format and then partition, thus wipping everything.

Because, some viruses are very good at hiding, I have Bitdefender free edition and Windows defender, and Bitdefender did not detect jack shit, while windows defender picked up 10 viruses after I deleted the false positive file. Plus, I will get rid of all the bloatware that came with my laptop

Any given AV won't catch everything which is why everyone needs multiple ways of scanning. As far as bloat, if you are using the factory recovery/reinstall, chances are it will also reinstall all the bloat.

No, I will pick the option that wipes everything, including bloatware, drivers, etc.
