Is possible to implement Raid 1 on a already implemented system (one disk with server OS) without have to format or losing data (just addind one disk and create the array)?

just responded to your other closed thread but you need to have OCE(online capacity expansion) on your raid controller for it to work. It requires and external battery and more dedicated memory on the controller for it to work.

Not sure if it will work though since its not even in a raid yet

Not sure I understand the first answer. Mine may help, may not.

It all depends on the RAID system you have. For example, I use a RAID system that is built into the mobo chipset, and its on-board software allows this sort of thing. Using the RAID Management utilities, you can attach a second HDD of the same size or slightly larger than the one HDD you have, then tell the RAID system to add that unit as a second drive in a RAID1 array, copy all data to it, and complete the setup of a RAID1 system using those two drives. This is actually a similar task to the process of replacing a failed unit in an existing RAID1 array.

Whether your RAID system and its Management software can do this (and, if so, how) should be set out clearly in the manual for your RAID system. Look there for instructions. The manual may be a documentation file on the CD that came with your mobo if you are using built-in RAID, or with a RAID controller card if that's what you have. If you have neither, you will need to search for it on the website of your mobo or card manufacturer.
