So I bought a EVGA 780ti and this thing can be sometimes loud when playing graphic intensive games such as bf4. I returned it thinking it was the card and when I got the new one it does the same thing. I don't think it's coil whine because the sound doesn't fluctuate with looking around in game. Any ideas from other that have the 780ti? Are you having this same issue? I seen a YouTube video on the card sound and it sounds similar to my issue. Let me know. Thanks!

It's not fan though. More electric sounding. You sure?

i don't have this issue with any of mine. are you power cables frayed or faulty maybe? are you overclocking or overvolting?

No and the power supply was recently swapped out thinking it was that. The voltage is set to stock and it's not Overclocked at all. You have the 780ti?

yes i do. 3 of them actually. and none of them are all that loud and they definitely don't have an electrical noise

Does the card make a different sound when running a graphic intensive game? Like a high pitched noise?

No not at all. Sounds like you may have a faulty card. What temps are you getting when playing?

I just got off the phone with EVGA. They said it could be something to do with my PSU and to check the voltage. I have a 850w thermaltake. I don't think it's the card because this is the 2nd card that does it after returning the first. I am going to try my buddies psu and see what happens.

swap out the 6 and 8 pin connectors too and see if that does anything. might just be faulty cables. if none of those help. try plugging the card into a different pci-e slot. might be a motherboard issue although i doubt it.

I tried all that stuff with the first card. I even swapped out the psu with the same one thinking something was bad with the first. I'm 95% sure the noise is the card. I will stuff my head back in my case again tonight lol. I'll get the other psu too and let you know how I make out.
