I was just thinking about changing my CPU, motherboard, and graphics card from AMD over to Intel and Nvidia. I was wondering if I have to delete any drivers for the cpu/gpu to work? I am kind of new to the whole PC thing so I wasn't sure on what I should do. I have Windows 8.1.

Solution
If you have an AMD cpu then that socket is an AMD socket. To get a new cpu you will have to get a new motherboard with the correct socket and also if your Windows product key is OEM then you will have to get another copy of Windows. The GPU should be interchangeable so long as it is a dedicated gpu and the new motherboard supports it.

I believe that withe OEM windows 8 you do not have to purchase a new copy like you did with windows 7, I would double check but that is what I have heard several times.

I would do a reinstall of the operating system non the less.
